Our opponents will never tire of trying to tell you why you should believe them, and why their opinions should be forcibly imposed upon everyone. (If you have questions about the morality of Hunting, then, if you have not already done so, we advise you to visit our Question and Answer pages, that will give you much information on what we do and why.)
We are not so opinionated as them. We believe in what we do, but we respect the right of other people not to agree with us. If we expect to be allowed to make our own choices, then we must respect the rights of others to make different ones. We do not want to make Hunting compulsory - and we merely request the same courtesy to be extended to us by others.
We are proud of the contribution we make to the local community, to farming and conservation and to the rural economy. Hunting has nothing to hide (and, let's face it, it would be pretty difficult to hide 40 dogs and 50-odd horsemen charging across open countryside in highly-visible clothing, being followed by even more people in cars).
If you would like to come out for a day with the Fitzwilliam (you don't need a horse - for every person who hunts on a horse, five or six follow hounds in cars, on bikes or on their feet) then contact George Bowyer either by e-mail, or via the contact details on the Contacts page.
